As a significant event in the global publishing calendar, it offers a dynamic mix of seminars, matchmaking sessions, and networking opportunities, allowing participants to explore new markets and establish valuable connections in the Arab and global publishing industries.
The 14th Sharjah Publishers Conference will take place on Sunday 2nd to Tuesday 4th November 2025, as a precursor to SIBF. This event is aimed at sellers of translation rights across all genres and languages, as well as buyers of published works in translation. The three-day programme offers seminar sessions on key global publishing trends, alongside dedicated matchmaking appointments for business transactions. Attendees can also participate in organised social events, providing a relaxed environment to network.
One of the unique aspects of the conference is the SIBF Translation Grant, a $300,000 fund available for rights agreements made during the event, ensuring a tangible benefit for participants. New and returning publishers are encouraged to apply online to attend. To be eligible, applicants must have a catalogue of translation rights to buy or sell and an interest in conducting business within the Arab and international markets.
The SIBF Publishers Conference has established itself as a pivotal platform for the exchange of rights, fostering international collaboration, and expanding the reach of published works globally.
