Sharjah International Airport

The clearance fees for imported shipments include the following services:
• Issuance of the delivery order
• Preparation of the customs declaration
• Transportation to the exhibition grounds

The fees are calculated based on the number of cartons in each shipment as follows:
• Up to 35 cartons: AED 350 per shipment
• From 36 to 70 cartons: AED 385 per shipment
• From 71 to 100 cartons: AED 450 per shipment
• Over 100 cartons: An additional AED 3 per extra carton

Please note that these fees cover import services only and do not include clearance for re-export or post-exhibition export services.

If import shipments are cleared through a clearing agent, the authority's clearance fees include only transportation services to the exhibition grounds.


Please note the following requirements and applicable charges:

• The shipper must provide a paid import delivery order.

• A clearing service fee of AED 300 per shipment will apply.

• A transportation fee of AED 750 per shipment will apply.

Shipping Procedures

Books are to be shipped to the SIBF by air, sea, or land, to Sharjah Expo Centre. Please adhere to the following shipping procedures:

  1. Ensure all boxes are numbered.
  2. Use the Quick Response (QR) Code system for shipping (mandatory).
  3. Fill out the shipment details on the publisher's account on the website: www.sibf.com
  4. The QR Code will be sent via the registered email address in our system.
  5. Print the green QR Code for parcels for the booth (mandatory).
  6. Print the red QR Code for the items for storage.
  7. Attach the label to all packages (mandatory).
  8. Failure to affix the QR Code on the packages will result in the shipment not being accepted by the logistics team.
  9. Arrange the shipments on the wooden pallets, with the warehouse items (red QR Code) at the bottom and the booth items (green QR Code) at the top, ensuring they are not mixed.
  10. The exhibitor is responsible for packing and wrapping the books and materials properly.


Required Customs Clearance Documents

The following documents must accompany the shipment:

  1. Original invoices with company stamp
  2. Packing list with company stamp


Please send the following documents via logistics@sibf.com prior to the shipment's arrival:

  1. Copy of the Bill of Lading or AWB
  2. Copy of the Invoice
  3. Copy of the Packing List
  4. Copy of the approval from the Sharjah International Book Fair (optional)
