This award aims to empower Emirati writers and publishers by promoting creativity, knowledge, and scholarly research across arts, literature, environment, and science. It encourages diverse creative and historical works while motivating publishers to highlight significant contributions that celebrate and advance Emirati culture.

Participation Conditions

    The award's evaluation is guided by the following core objectives:

    1. Fostering Local Talent: Encouraging and supporting local writers and publishers to contribute to the science and knowledge development initiatives of the U.A.E.
    2. Creative Communication: Inspiring local writers to persist in their creative endeavors and foster effective communication through their works.
    3. Promoting Academic Research: Supporting the creation of local academic studies addressing various regional issues in the U.A.E, spanning arts, literature, environment, and science.
    4. Celebrating Diversity in Writing: Promoting diverse writings across creative and historical domains, encompassing science, arts, and literature.
    5. Publisher Motivation: Encouraging and motivating publishers to present noteworthy works that align with the U.A.E's context, thereby enhancing the promotion of Emirati publications.

Arbitration and Criteria

Fostering Local Talent:

Encouraging and supporting local writers and publishers to contribute to the science and knowledge development initiatives of the U.A.E.

Creative Communication:

Inspiring local writers to persist in their creative endeavors and foster effective communication through their works.

Promoting Academic Research:

Supporting the creation of local academic studies addressing various regional issues in the U.A.E, spanning arts, literature, environment, and science.

Celebrating Diversity in Writing:

Promoting diverse writings across creative and historical domains, encompassing science, arts, and literature.

Publisher Motivation:

Encouraging and motivating publishers to present noteworthy works that align with the U.A.E's context, thereby enhancing the promotion of Emirati publications.

Evaluation Criteria

  1. Winning writers will be invited to attend the awards ceremony during the current SIBF.
  2. Candidates do not have the right to contest any decisions made by the jury.
  3. Nomination Deadline: Nominations conclude on 15 September 2025.
  4. Announcement Timing: Winners will be officially announced at the commencement of the current SIBF.
  5. Prize Distribution: The prize value will be equitably divided between the author and the publishing house unless stipulated otherwise in the publishing contract.
  6. Recognition for the Author: Recognition and appreciation will be exclusively bestowed upon the author.
