In this interactive workshop, children will be acquainted with world-famous painters such as Van Gogh, Claude Monet, Frida Kahlo and Vermeer. The goal will be to recreate iconic details from their masterpieces with various materials such as textured paper, fabrics and flowers.
Participants will build robots using basic components (frame, motors, wheels) based on designs they will have created themselves. They will then customise these robots to make them look like characters from fictional books or characters of their own creation. They will come up with a story about the robot and its role in the fictional universe they will have created.
From the film ‘The Iron Giant’ to age-old tales about magical stones, we will explore stories about inanimate objects that, according to legend, move on their own.
